The Department of Physics and Chemistry jointly organized a One Week Online Faculty Development Program on Synthesis, Characterization and Applications of Novel Materials from 2 Aug 2021 to 6 Aug 2021. 10 invited talks were given by various resource persons from national and international level. 410 participants actively attended the FDP from various states in India.

The Department of Chemistry, Sri Parasakthi College, Courtallam in association with The Department of Chemistry, Ramco Institute of Technology, Rajapalayam organized a lecture on Innovation in Chemical Sciences and IPR on 13.05.2022. Dr. N. Revathi, Assistant Professor (Sr. Gr) delivered a lecture regarding invention, conversion of invention to innovation, conversion of innovation to Intellectual Property Rights, Filing details of patents, benefits of patents, etc., The faculty members and first, second and third year B. Sc., Chemistry students totally 128 participants from the Department of Chemistry, Sri Parasakthi College, Courtallam attended the lecture. Dr. L. Muthulakshmi, Organizing Secretary, Sri Parasakthi College, Courtallam arranged the event.
Recent Trends in Green Chemistry
A one-day workshop on Recent Trends in Green Chemistry was organized by Department of Chemistry, Ramco Institute of Technology, Rajapalayam on 11th August 2018. More than 200 participants, both the faculty members and students from various colleges of Tamil Nadu have participated in the workshop. The Plastic Man of India, Padma Shri Dr. R. Vasudevan from Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai has delivered the Inaugural Address in the workshop.
